SUCCESS STORIES FROM PARTICIPANTS IN THE
MICROSOFT GRANT PROGRAM

Anthony C. Wilson:
Anthony completed all of the Microsoft Unlimited Potential Training.  Meanwhile, Anthony went through truck driving school so that he could obtain future employment. He completed that training is now on the road moving forward with his future.  Because Anthony completed the Microsoft training, his name was entered into a drawing along with his classmates who had completed the course over the period of the grant.  The drawing was for a laptop computer.  The family was excited for Anthony and picked up the computer because he was still on the road driving his truck.  His wife Rosemary shared with me that now he will be able to use it while he is on the road in the evenings.  It was exciting to see the opportunities and changes that were now happening for the Wilson family.

Elizabeth Kerby
Elizabeth Kerby completed all of the Microsoft Unlimited Potential Training.  Elizabeth had some computer skills before beginning the program but she wanted to enhance them and to learn new applications.  Elizabeth shared with the group that her husband was a dislocated worker and together they decided to take control of their own destiny by becoming entrepreneurs and developing an E-Commerce business.  Elizabeth can now provide further assistance to her husband as the business continues to grow.  Elizabeth also said she would be willing to come back and mentor other students who might go through the Microsoft Unlimited Potential Training, if we are able to obtain additional funding.  It was exciting to see the difference this training was making in Elizabeth’s life
